GeoQuestly AI · it drafts, you decide

Describe it. GeoQuestly finds the places.

Say in one sentence what you have in mind — with a PDF, a picture or a link, if you like. GeoQuestly looks up the real places, checks where they are and hands you a draft: a whole group with places and paths, or the events of a programme.

  1. Idea
  2. Search
  3. Draft
  4. Review

You always see the draft first. GeoQuestly only proposes changes — nothing is applied until somebody agrees.

What the AI does for you

  • Group with AI

One sentence is enough — with a PDF, a picture or a link if you like. GeoQuestly looks up the real places, checks where they are and lays the paths on real paths.

  • Events with AI

A programme or an idea becomes events with a time and a place — as a draft you check.

  • Edit with AI

Say what should change about the group, its places or its events. GeoQuestly proposes the changes.

  • @geoquestly in the chat

Ask in the group chat. GeoQuestly proposes places, routes and events, and an admin or moderator of the group takes what fits.

  • Pictures with AI

Describe a picture in one sentence — for your group or a place.

  • In Claude and ChatGPT

Connect your GeoQuestly account and ask there: “Which events does my group have this week?” It only sees what you see in the app.

You pay for the AI features in the app with Credits; afterwards you see what a request cost. Connecting Claude and ChatGPT costs no Credits.

People · Friends · Sharing

Find each other when it matters.

Share where you are with the friends or the group you choose — for the evening, for a hike, or just for the next hour. Exactly, or only the area you're in. Someone who only follows you never sees it.

  • Who, and how long.

One person, a whole group, or just for a few hours — and you can end it any time.

  • Exactly, or roughly.

Your real position, or only the area you're in. Public groups only ever see the area.

Location alerts

Know when someone arrives.

Put an alarm on one of your group's places, and GeoQuestly tells you when somebody arrives — or leaves again. For you, or for your group.

Gempen lookout · 150 m

  • For the group

Basel Trails hears it when somebody reaches the lookout.

Set up in the group · only the members it names are told

  • Just for you

Tell me when Lena gets to the festival entrance.

Lena is sharing with you · nobody else is told

Nothing extra is tracked. A place can only react to a location somebody is already sharing — and that can be stopped at any moment.

Adventures · Scavenger hunts · Surprises

Some places only show themselves once you're there.

Hide places on your private group's map. Only whoever gets there sees them — with a text and a picture that appear right there. That's how the old town becomes a scavenger hunt, and a weekend a surprise.

  1. Hide
  2. Go
  3. Arrive
  4. Found

Hidden places are set up by the admins and moderators of a private group; a place shows itself to whoever arrives and shares their exact location with the group. A surprise is planned by whoever creates the event.

Groups · Events · Posts · Chats

Everything here happens somewhere real.

A group for the people who ride the same trails. A post from the spot it happened. A plan in the chat, and then an event with a real meeting point.

The fog lifted exactly as we reached the top. The whole Rhine valley below us.

    This happened here.

Marco chose to add the place. A post only carries one if you say so.

What this unlocks

Put them together and new things happen.

A Saturday night in the city, a Sunday on a ridge, a first week in a town you've just moved to. Same map, same people, same app.

  1. ChatAIEvent

Somebody says “Amsterdam in May”. By the evening the group has a plan with real places in it.

  2. EventRouteTransit

Sunday at 9 at the cable car: you get the public-transport connection to the meeting point, with platform and changes, right from the event.

  3. FriendsSharing

You find each other in a crowd of ten thousand, without a single “where are you?”

  4. PlaceArrivalGroup

The hiking group has reached the top, and you all know without having to ask.

  5. PlacesArrivalGroup

A group turns the old town into a scavenger hunt: every place only shows itself to whoever is standing there.

  6. EventChatPhotos

The day after, the recap is there, with the photos that landed in the group chat during the event.

On the horizon

Not in the app yet, and no date is promised. This is where a map that already knows people, places and time can go next.

  1. MapTime

Rewind the map: past posts reappear right where they were posted.

  2. PlacesCluesGroup

Quests with a logbook and a leaderboard: who in the group finds the most places?

  3. PlaceTime

A time capsule at a place that only opens on a particular day.

  4. GroupMap

The group votes on the map on where you'll meet.

  5. PeopleMap

A meeting point that's fair for everyone, suggested on the map.

  6. RoutePost

Share a route like a post: others see it and follow it.
